Reindeer Noses and A little Grinch-iness

Grady's sweet mom came in to share a story and some VERY cute treats on Thursday afternoon. She read The Gingerbread Man to the class.

She also gets all kinds of cute ideas, and I LOVE this one!!

Today was Grinch day in our classroom, so I had to wear green! Since there are no places to find green maternity clothes in Escanaba, I had to settle for the scarf. I had the hat/headband already! At breakfast this morning my little guy took one look at my head and said, "No mumma wear that... you take it off?" So he wasn't in the Grinch-y spirit. I DO look a whole lot of silly!! That's my 27 week bump shot for you too! Our little girl is sure making a lot of room for herself :)

I feel a little like the snowman Luke made last year... I do spend some time holding my tummy like that too!!

My heart grew two sizes with all the generosity of my students' parents, who shared lots of green treats for us to eat and many presents under our Christmas tree! Thank you to all!!

I purchased this little unit from Teachers Pay Teachers to help us complete our Grinch-y fun! Click on the image to take you there...

A Grinchy Christmas (craft, literacy, & math printables)

We completed a cute Grinch craft after reading the story this morning!

We also wrapped up our synonym unit with some Grinch synonyms.

During math we graphed why we thought the Grinch hated Christmas... here are the results!

Ha! I probably should have done this before we read it, because the story kinda gives it away! At lunch some of Santa's elves came to visit and sing a Christmas Carol! One of my kiddos said that even though Santa's sack was empty the elf was pulling out a candy cane for every child!! Sooo magical :)

To finish off our crazy, fun day we watched the Grinch movie and ate some more! It was the perfect day! You can watch the movie with commercials below, or click the link to watch it commercial free. And remember that Christmas doesn't come in ribbons and bows, it's sharing it with the people that we love!! Merry Christmas!
