I don't know where the time went!! My little girl is already 1 month old, she is out of newborn clothing and diapers. I LOVE that she is growing healthy and strong, but, sigh, the time is going by too fast.
In other news, my mom was recognized for working 30 years and got a special, surprise dinner. Luke got to have her balloons. Yesterday he came out of the livingroom with the cluster of balloons around him and told me he was a lion! It made me laugh out loud!! They made quite the lion's mane. :)
I am going to start a new series of posts to give my readers some ideas of ways to entertain a toddler, this is something I have struggled with since we've been home. I think I felt like I needed to be his events coordinator and was using screens more than was good for my little guy in order to get some things done around the house. He would get one show in the morning while I did some housework and got the ipad after his nap, so I could prep for dinner. As a result, we were having some behavior problems and he was literally incapable of playing by himself. I have learned that a little boredom is not a bad thing and gets his imagination going. He is also back into flipping through his favorite books and listening to some favorite music on his own. I still spend plenty of time planning fun activities for us and reading to him, but it's nice to see him being more independent. I also REALLY didn't like that he would recite lines from his favorite shows... I think we are all having a much better time!! :) Stay posted for some upcoming ideas!
