Last week I thought I would let Luke make a big ole mess with some rice, measuring cups, spoons, and mixing bowls. When I set it all up he said, "Oh great, my rice sensory bowls." So ahhhh, they must do this at daycare too! :)
May I recommend doing this on the carpet, because the rice does end up flying around at some point and it minimizes the scatter effect. When you are done, just run the vacuum and the crispy texture is out of the carpet, after several sweeps!!
