It's been awhile since I did one of these posts, so here goes...
One. Luke finished his swim lessons at the YMCA this week. He gets the prize for bravery and loves to jump in the water. He also has a really great back float. We are still working on swimming horizontally instead of vertically, but he loved it!!
Two. My newly discovered love of kale. I have been putting this in my morning and lunch smoothies instead of spinach, due to my husbands urging. It has absolutely no flavor in there and like a gob-zillion health benefits. He must really love me! I am now up to 30 lbs. of baby love gone. I have only 10 to go, not bad for nine weeks postpartum. I give all the credit to "My Diet Diary" app for my phone that helps me count my calories. To put it in perspective though... my current weight is what I was when I came home from the hospital after Luke was born!!
Three. Baby smiles. Let me say it again... baby smiles. I LOVE them!
Four. Weather that is warm enough for a family walk. Yes, Luke is walking Jack-A-Roo, totally precious!
(You can't see her, but Stella is looking at all the trees in the Baby Bjorn.)
Five. Getting back to Soo Hill School for a visit.
Luke has never been there when he didn't have complete run of the classroom. He might have been a little overwhelmed (thank you Lisa for rescuing him!) and Stella slept through it. I was so happy to see all my sweet firsties! They look taller and really smart, a lot like second graders! I can't even stand it!! I LOVED hearing their animal reports, thank you Jiri, Leighanne, and Shanay for reading yours to me. It sounds like they all worked really hard on them and I got to see their beautiful penmanship while they were adding an illustration. Mrs. Willis is the BEST substitute teacher of all time. She has made it so easy for me to be off and only think about school 10% of the time instead of 90%. For that, my husband thanks you! :)
After leaving, we went to visit Luke's school and see his friends and teachers that he's been missing, and let's face it... at Soo Hill everyone fawned over Stella and Luke deserved his turn. When we pulled in, he said, "See ya later, Mama." He got hugs from the teachers upstairs and went on the playground to see the preschool friends and Miss Tracy. The kids were practically piling on him to give him hugs. He was loving every minute!
So that's it friends, we had a excellent week and are looking forward to Memorial Day weekend! Stay Happy!!
