Happy High Five for Friday

Today I am coming at you with my top 5 things in my makeup bag. I have been really into beauty bloggers lately, especially Essie Button and Kate from The Small Things Blog, and I think it's fun to see what works for other people... so here goes:

1. Bobby Brown Corrector
Bobbi Brown - Corrector
This is a game changer... if you get the right shade and blend it over your undereye circles after you moisturize, it looks like you had a full nights rest! Some people add concealer over the top, but this is enough for me! Sephora $24

2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush

Hourglass - Ambient Lighting Blush

Kate from the Small Things Blog kept calling this blush stunning, and she doesn't usually rave unless it's REALLY good. So when my blush ran out I had to try it and I love it, but this is not your drugstore blush. It has a highlighter built in and melts into your skin. It just makes you look young and fresh. It is a bit of an investment though, but I fully expect it to last a long time. Sephora $35

3. STILA Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner

Stila - Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner

When this eyeliner is applied it almost looks liquid, but goes on very smoothly and easily. I was using one that required a sharpener, but it gets so messy! This one you just twist up, but don't overdo it... it won't go back down. I learned this after reading reviews on Amazon and am glad I did. It is totally something I would do! It also comes in 30 different shades, but most importantly it STAYS. PUT. all day long. I have oily eyelids and stuff tends to smear around and this never has. Sephora $20

4. Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze

Bad To The Bronze

This eyeshadow is beautiful!! You just put it on with your finger all over your lid and into the crease and it looks like you spent all this time blending different shades on your lid. It catches the light in different ways and looks darker in the crease. It stays put all day too. I also bought the lighter color for summer and most days just leave the house with this on to brighten things up and add a little shimmer. The lighter shade can also be put in the inner corner of your eye to make it brighter and under your brow bone. The best part is that there is no color fall out since it is a cream. I always do my eyes last and don't like having to wipe off the eyeshadow that falls on my cheeks or when there is just a line of shimmer there all day!! any drugstore $6.99

5.  L'ORÉAL Studio Secrets Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer

I'm all about a dewy glow. This you can put on your cheekbones and brighten things up. It's great for highlighting anything and has been in my bag for two years. So a little goes a very long way!! any drugstore $12.99

Honorable mentions... Make Up Forever concealer (for pimples), BareMinerals foundation (if I'm going all out), Philosophy lip glosses (I have Candy Fruit Ring and it tastes like watermelon Jolly ranchers, yum!), and MAC paint pot in Painterly (this is a great eye shadow primer for days when you want to wear powder shadows and have them last).

So there you go, I am not a beauty blogger or a beauty girl really, but as I inch closer to my mid-thirties I sure like leaving the house with a little something to make me look like I'm still in my twenties :) or at least try!!
