I wanted to share what's been going on at our house to celebrate Valentine's Day. Here's a peak at last week!
Luke helped make his own Valentine cards. He was the glue master, picked out the ribbons, and the stampers for his friends at daycare.
It would have been WAY better to send them on their party day which was Thursday and not on Valentine's Day! LOL! I was working off my schedule not theirs. Good thing he's too young to be embarrassed... some days you feel like supermom and some days, well, not so much! :)
Daddy was in Saulte Ste. Marie the days leading up to Valentine's Day, so we sent him this picture message the morning of! LOVE that smile!!
Here's a little home decor. I don't go overboard, but it was sure nice to get rid of the snowmen, even though mother nature isn't on the same page!
I like to have pops of red, so I did keep up a couple of holiday berry wreaths from Christmas. As always I have artwork from my niece Maddie, Luke, and my talented Aunt Helen. Justin's photography made it in there too! Sorry for the glare... the sun was not my friend for the following shots!
The next set of displays are in our entrance way. I got the subway art off of pinterest, but I don't know who to give credit too!
I had to include the next one, because I LOVE that my husband found me the perfect heart shaped piece of wood! He's so sweet!!
My piano, which I treat like a mantel... for that fireplace I wish I had in this cold winter, is decked out too!
I love the art. I got it at TJ Maxx last year and it is one of my favorite Beatles song quotes. "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make..." I hope you are hearing the beautiful notes that follow it in the song, if not, take a listen! :)
The sun was so, hurray, bright behind the table that it's hard to see the colors. It's all reds and pinks, with conversation hearts in the bottom of the candle holders. Again, the LOVE sign was from TJ Maxx last year.
Luke looked all over the house when we were done decorating and kept saying, "L-O-V-E spells love." and I said, "Yes buddy our house is filled with love!! " I hope all of yours are too!
