So my sweet, little buddy got to go trick or treating for the first time last night and thought we got to go in and visit each house until he caught on after like the third one...
Ding Dong.
Mom- "Luke what do we say?"
Luke- "Thank you."
Mom- "Good, but what do we say first?"
Luke- "Trick or Treat. Can I go in there?"
Insert image of a little dragon head trying to crane in past the doorway and the adult giving out the candy laughing!
Plunk.
Candy he will never eat, but that his mom will likely have for breakfast, drops into his bucket. (Which super mom forgot, so thankfully Grandma Sue had a spare.)
Luke- "Thank you"
Random stranger (laughing real hard) - "You're welcome!"
He had it DOWN by the time we got to The Robinette house! Thank you Kristy for being in the sentimental 1st Trick or Treating adventure photo op.
Little buddy nearly skip/ran to each house when we started out, but was really slowing down at the end. And yes, that's his winter coat over his costume, because those white streaks in the photo below are snowflakes, and soon his cheeks will be red to match the costume!
Like every mom, my jacket pockets were stuffed like chipmunk cheeks with tissues, the crappy walmart bag we were gonna use from nana's house for the candy collecting, and more tissues...
He LOVED his costume and despite having 3 layers underneath wouldn't take it off once we got back to Nana's to watch Spookley.
I wish I had gotten a picture of his tail. It kept catching his eye as he ran from house to house and he would turn back to look at it. Ah-dor-ah-ble!!!
It was WAY to blustery for this darling girl to go out, so Nana snuggled with her. It sure would have been fun to show her off though!! (I guess I am now to all of you and she isn't getting little ice chunks in her eyes!!)
It really doesn't look like she minds! :)
I hope your family had a safe and fun Halloween, and yes I did eat a peanut butter cup before my granola bar for breakfast this morning... don't judge!!
