1- Demo, took less than an afternoon
2- Use air chisel to get the grout off the floor - 2 days
3- Got the floor smooth, but it's uneven, so had to get liquid level... stuff looked great on the bottle. Floor is still slightly off, but no complaints here! :)
4- Plumbing - 1 day
5- Lay the laminate flooring - 1 day
6 - Shower installation - ongoing, this thing was a pain.. I was even saying some words a schoolteacher should never say. It wouldn't seal in the back so I had to take all the clothes out of my closet so he could cut away the wall and seal it from the back. Yes, that was not fun!! Then the clothing rod and shelf fell (cheap stuff) and we had to repeat the closet process... took less time because he just had to put it back up and it was minus five bags of clothes for Good will.
5 - Window - 1 day, for siding too, it is a custom window that didn't fit just right and is narrower so he will have to build a window sill on the inside. I was very proud... he was disappointed again. Are you sensing a theme here?
6 - Take shower door back off and mud - in progress. I hope my final post will be the finished project. We picked out the paint and the towels, now he just has to sand, mud, let it dry, and repeat like 4x's.
If you want to redo your shower I strongly suggest the tutorials on YouTube, if you want to have a summer and can afford it... hire help!! :)
